FTH representatives are now enroute to Haiti to establish a distribution base in Haiti.  They will land in the Dominican Republic to purchase and transport the following across the border :

1. 5-gallon bottles of water

2. Rolls of plastic sheeting (for temp shelter… sun by day, rain by night)

3. rolls of twine (to fashion sheeting into roof or lean-to)

4. blankets (for bedding)

5. rolls of medical gauze (for medical clinic)

6. candles (for light at night)

7. bars of soap (hygiene/sanitation)

8. ready to eat foods--- like granola bars, stalks of green bananas, pineapples, etc.

Product will be staged in a secure warehouse in Fond Parisien (45 minutes east of Port au Prince) where we will assess potential church distribution points based on what facilities, personnel, and equipment are present.  Once distribution channels are opened we will move product from the Fond Parisien warehouse to distribution points for distribution through partner churches.
